Dr. Glenys A. Babcock

Dr. Glenys Babcock is a senior Public Policy Analyst. She is also a grassroots activist, skilled organizer, and powerful communicator.

For 20 years, Dr. Babcock has provided strategic counsel and research to preeminent public, private and not-for-profit organisations. Her first decade of work focussed on policy issues related to international security, military policy, democratization, and economic transitions in the former Soviet Union.

Dr. Babcock has served as a Consultant to the World Bank, US Army, Intelligence Secretariat of Canada's Privy Council Office, and the RAND Corporation (Los Angeles; Washington DC). She was formerly Scholar in Residence at the Canadian Institute of International Affairs, Director of The Titan Group for Public Policy Analysis, and a VP with Ipsos Reid Public Affairs.

As Founder and President of Pragmora, Dr. Babcock is committed to creating a powerful peace organisation – one that is global, pragmatic, and effective. She leads Pragmora's overall development and collaborates with experts internationally to develop realistic advocacy measures for resolving armed conflicts and stablising the peace in post-conflict regions.

Dr. Babcock holds a PhD and MPhil in public policy analysis (specializing in Soviet Studies), an MA and BA in international relations, and a BA in mathematics. She currently resides in Canada, and has previously lived in the United States, UK, and Russia.
